The dignity and indignation
You donned
When you spoke from the pulpit
of the jackals that had
brought her
down;
The tears that glistened in your eyes and
trembling timbre as you vowed
to protect her sons
from that same
cavernous emotional greed,
that public lust to see
and touch and possess her;
were jealous lies.
Now she’s gone, she’s yours.
All on display.
Each secret, her treasure,
Your treasure now,
Thousand-fold in Sterling.
